How to Load a Datalog Configuration File to Your SCT Device
Follow these steps to properly install the datalog configuration file we’ve provided and begin logging data with your SCT device.
1. Save the Configuration File
Ensure the datalog configuration file we sent is saved to an easily accessible location on your computer (e.g., Desktop or Downloads folder).
2. Download the SCT Device Updater
Install the SCT Device Updater software if you haven’t already:
3. Connect Your SCT Device to the Computer
- Launch the SCT Device Updater program.
- Connect your SCT device to your computer using a USB-to-Micro USB cable.
4. Transfer the Configuration File
- In the SCT Device Updater, select "Transfer File to Device."
- Click the “Browse” button on the right side.
- Locate and select the datalog configuration file we sent you.
- Once successfully transferred, you’ll see a confirmation that the upload is complete.
5. Set Up the Device in Your Vehicle
- Plug the SCT device into your vehicle’s OBD-II port using the provided OBD cable.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position or start the engine.
- On the SCT device, scroll down and select "Gauges/Datalog."
- At the next screen, choose "Configuration" at the bottom.
- Select "LUND GENERIC" when prompted.
6. Start and Stop Datalogging
- Press the right arrow on your device.
- Select “Start Record Data” to begin datalogging.
- Follow the specific logging instructions we provided in your email.
✅ Tip: The datalog will record until you manually stop it.
- To stop, press the right arrow again and select “Stop Datalog.”
- The log will automatically save to your SCT device.
7. Retrieve and Send the Datalog File
- Reconnect the SCT device to your computer.
- Download and install Live Link Gen II if you haven’t already:
- Open Live Link Gen II.
- Click the drop-down icon next to the small book symbol near the “Home” tab.
- Select “Device” → “Import Datalog.”
- Your recorded log will appear on screen.
8. Save and Email the Datalog
- Click the same drop-down icon and select “Save All “
- Attach the saved file to an email and send it back to us.
🔁 If the file is too large to email, compress it into a ZIP file before attaching.
