With HP Tuners recently releasing tuning support for the 2024+ Mustang GT and 2024+ F-150 platforms, the landscape of Gen 4 Coyote tuning has officially entered a new chapter. As expected, we’ve received numerous questions & hundreds of inquiries regarding Lund Racing’s position and timeline on providing support for these new platforms. This article exists to address that — clearly and directly.
Why We Waited: Integrity Over Hype
We don’t rush to be “first.” We prioritize being right.
The S650 Mustang and refreshed 2024+ F-150 represent a new calibration strategy from Ford, with significant changes in both ECM hardware and logic. While HP Tuners has delivered the tools necessary to access these vehicles, that’s only the beginning of the equation.
Our goal has always been to deliver proven, consistent, and repeatable results — not just to make a car faster, but to make the entire tuning process more seamless and stress-free for our end users. That requires data. Time. Vetted results across a wide range of scenarios — from stock engine configurations to full bolt-on, boosted, and beyond.
As always, it is our continued pursuit of perfection that fuels our passion to continue to be the leading aftermarket Coyote tuners in the world!
What Makes the Gen 4 Coyote Different
New PCM strategy – The shift to MG1-based controllers (and derivatives) necessitates an entirely new calibration approach.
Drive-by-wire behavior – Pedal mapping and torque control logic are more sensitive than previous generations.
Changes to fueling models – Especially under transient load and wide-open throttle.
Transmission calibration dependencies – Especially with the 10R80, proper shift logic calibration is more critical than ever.
Lund Racing's Commitment to Excellence
As with every platform that we've provided support for in the past, we did what every Tuning Company should be doing - we purchased our own vehicle for R&D purposes. Internal testing on our in-house 2025 S650 GT began before tuning was publicly available, early in July. Our 10R80-equipped, premium pony has been getting properly broken in:
Over 100 dyno pulls - with various timing strategies, shifting strategies, cam position strategies
Several weeks of driving the vehicle - in regular traffic, highway driving, just like you will experience as the end-user
Intentional fault code creation & resolution - so we can troubleshoot issues you may experience as the consumer
Multiple fuels - 91, 93 & E85 fueling strategies

What You Can Expect from Lund Racing
When our tuning for the S650 and 24+ F-150 platforms go fully live, it won’t be labeled “beta,” “experimental,” or “use at your own risk.” It will be the same Lund Racing experience that our customers have come to know & expect:
Repeatable performance across track, dyno, and street
Factory-like drivability with improved performance & shifting
Reliable power delivery with OEM+ safety margins
Responsive support from a team that understands the platform inside and out
Next Steps
Currently, HPTuners support is only in the way of MPVI3 and RTD4 Devices, both of which we have fully stocked inventory of and are shipping out daily. Consumers should download the HPTuners TDN App to be used on their mobile devices in preparation of ordering their tunes.
We’re actively calibrating and validating across multiple test vehicles and configurations to ensure our tuning is launch-ready, not rushed. When we’re ready to roll out full support of the S650 and 24+ F-150 platforms, you’ll see an official announcement on our social media as well as our website — and you can be confident in what’s behind it.
When we release a calibration, it's because it's been vetted & is ready — not because we needed to be first to market with it. We appreciate your patience, and we’re excited to bring our level of tuning precision to these next-gen platforms for you guys very soon!
